Day Day Bistro

Well, those 5 star reviews are definitely well deserved. Absolutely some of the best sushi in town. Food was great, service was fantastic and atmosphere was just right. The price? You just can beat it. We had blast getting to know the owners who are a very lovely husband and wife. They have been here since December of 2023 but this was our first time visiting this great restaurant. We have already made reservations to come back in two days P.S Serna Roll that you see on my pictures is NOT on the menu yet, but it was amazing and you must try it! Ask why it is called Serena

This was such a great place to eat! We googled "best cheap eats in NW Calgary" while travelling from Canmore to Red Deer and Day Day Bistro popped up on the list. It had great reviews so we opted to have lunch there. It's a tiny place owned and operated by a sweet couple. The food was amazing and huge portions. We ordered the lunch platter of sushi and a combo of 10 Cajun wings with fried rice. It was a VAST amount of food! And ALL of it was delicious! The wings were crispy and so tasty.

We had a very lovely late lunch here today, found it a very comfy spot with incredibly friendly staff, delicious food in very generous portions at a very favourable value. Loved the teriyaki chicken and the Taiwanese popcorn chicken especially. Great value and lovely owners - very recommended!

The food was delicious! Hot and fresh to order. We tried sushi rolls, and the highly recommended popcorn chicken and truffle fries did not disappoint! Yummy bubble tea on the side. Super reasonable prices and excellent friendly service!

Craving some sushi on our way to Banff and found this place with really good reviews. So glad we tried it! We got four different rolls and each was amazing. Definitely recommend the volcano roll. The crepe cake was okay. Awesome service! (Phone did not eat first).

Was in the neighborhood so decide to drop by and try their fried chicken sandwich as well as their daily special and an appy. Everything was pretty tasty. We liked how crunchy the fried king oyster mushrooms were as well as the fried chicken. The Philly Steak sandwich had an interesting take as it seemed like it was a stir fry with beef added to some cheese. Still pretty good and enjoyed the vegetables on it. The only thing that we could probably think of that could be an improvement is if the fried chicken burger had a little bit more veggies on it. Definitely worth a visit if you're nearby.

Ate here 2 days in a row. We drove by Friday to grab lunch. It’s very shall place and not much sit down. Lots of free parking in the back if the front is full. If you are seeking cheap, fresh eats to go, this place focuses on deep fried chicken and sushi rolls. I had the lunch special for 15.- dynamite, Cali and tuna roll for a total of 22pcs. I ate half for lunch and saved the rest for dinner. My son had the Taiwanese popcorn chicken combo with fries and a drink. Plus tip, 30 for 2 people. The chicken was juicy and very flavourful. The batter is not a hard crunchy like WOW chicken but more like gently breaded in crumbs. Service was spectacular! The lady was so nice at the counter and helpful. I went back Saturday to get an order of the popcorn chicken with truffle fries. The truffle flavor is muted but they were still solid fries. I’ll definitely return to try the wings next. They have about 20 flavors for wings and chicken burgers. They offer fish n chips too. The selection sushi rolls is extensive for a tiny place. I’ll be back for more soon!

Nice little place, attentive staff. The food so far is amazing. The truffle fries are highly recommended, as are the king oyster mushrooms. The Philly Cheesesteak was excellent. Hot, fresh, and well packed with ingredients. Dripping it's own au jus, it is better than any other I've had to date. The sushi combos are a very good deal and quite sizable. Take care with the wasabi; it is rather hotter than what's usually served here in NA (it's delicious). We'll be returning to explore the rest of the menu.
